Freelancer: Public Relations (PR)

Bou is a new-school Nordic brand company working with clients such as Polestar, Klarna and Metacore. We are building brands in various domains, including design, marketing, communications and development. To support our work, we have gathered together over 8,000+ creative freelancers from 100+ countries, and are actively matching skilled freelancers with interesting clients. We are currently seeking skilled and experienced Public Relations (PR) freelancers who are familiar with the Nordic, German or UK media landscape to join our project teams on a contractual basis for upcoming projects. As a PR freelancer, you will join our projects to play a critical role in building and maintaining our client's public image and reputation in their relevant markets.

Responsibilities:

• Create engaging press materials such as localized press releases and media kits, and pitch them to media outlets to secure coverage
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with media contacts, journalists, and influencers to generate positive media coverage and increase brand visibility.
• Monitor media coverage and provide regular reports on PR activities and results

Requirements:

We are looking for a PR freelancer with 5+ years of experience of press release writing, pitching & local media relations, with a proven track record.

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
• Excellent English communications skills and knowledge of the Nordic / German / UK media landscape
• Proven work experience in PR or similar role, with a strong track record of successful PR campaigns and media coverage.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling press materials and communicate with media contacts effectively.
• Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to establish and maintain relationships with media contacts, journalists, and influencers.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with cross-functional teams.
